Maud joined Maitland as a tenant in September 2025, following the successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Darragh Connell, Maxim Cardew, Maria Mulla, and James Ballance. She is developing a broad commercial chancery practice and accepts instructions across all of Chambers’ core areas, including Company & Partnership, Insolvency & Asset Recovery, Commercial Litigation & Arbitration, Civil Fraud, Intellectual Property, and Offshore & Trusts.

Maud read English at Clare College, Cambridge, before training as an opera singer at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. A Princess Royal Scholar of The Inner Temple, she completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law, Bloomsbury, and the Bar Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, receiving Distinctions in both.

Before coming to the Bar, Maud was CEO and co-founder of Adapt, a national EdTech platform, where she gained extensive experience in high-growth startups, strategic communications, and stakeholder management. She was responsible for matters including regulatory compliance, data protection, and investor relations, particularly during periods of scale, restructuring, and shareholder negotiation. This commercial and leadership experience informs a practical and strategic approach to her practice, and lends her particular fluency in Company & Partnership disputes.
