High Court hands down judgment in the case of THJ Systems v Sheridan [2023] EWHC 927 (Ch)

The High Court has handed down judgment in THJ Systems v Sheridan [2023] EWHC 927 (Ch), a dispute about intellectual property and expulsion from a two-member limited liability partnership in which Amanda Hadkiss and Ted Loveday acted for the Defendants.

The Defendants succeeded in defending all the intellectual property claims brought against them, including a claim for infringement of copyright in software code for an options trading computer programme; infringement of copyright in a graphic user interface; and a claim for reverse passing off. The case also dealt with the validity of an expulsion from a two-member LLP based on allegations of serious and persistent breach of an LLP agreement.
