Christopher McCall KC retires from practice

After 60 years as a barrister, 39 of those in silk, Christopher McCall KC has retired from practice.

Christopher has for many years been one of the pre-eminent practitioners at the Chancery Bar, particularly in the fields of private client work, charity law and tax.

He stepped back from full-time practice in 2023, but continued to be involved in a number of important ongoing matters which have now come to a close.

Head of Chambers Michael Gibbon KC said: “Christopher is held in the highest regard and affection by everyone at Maitland, and by a wide circle of friends and colleagues in the law, as well as in other fields to which he has contributed so much. We are sorry that we will no longer have the pleasure of his company in Chambers on a daily basis. We send him our warmest best wishes for his retirement.”
