Oliver Clement

Call: 2024

Oliver joined Maitland in September 2025, after successfully completing pupillage under the supervision of Darragh Connell, Maxim Cardew, Maria Mulla, and James Balance.

Oliver appears regularly in both the High Court and County Court, led and as sole counsel. He is developing a wide-ranging commercial chancery practice, accepting instructions across the breadth of Chambers' practice areas. Oliver is comfortable advising in offshore matters, in addition to his domestic practice.

Recent work Oliver has undertaken includes:

  • Assisting in High Court litigation concerning a governance dispute, including at trial.
  •  Obtaining, led by Maria Mulla, urgent springboard and other injunctive relief in a restraint of trade dispute.
  • As sole counsel, advancing a contested winding-up petition, securing an order that the company lacked directors and that all evidence opposing the petition be struck out.
  • Advising, at the pre-litigation stage, on a cryptocurrency fraud dispute.
