Edward commenced practice in September 2020 following the successful completion of his pupillage under the supervision of Watson Pringle, Fiona Dewar, Richard Fowler and Caley Wright.

Edward accepts instructions in all of Chambers’ areas of practice, including in particular commercial and contractual disputes of all kinds, insolvency, civil fraud, and disputes involving companies and trusts.

Edward read law at Magdalen College, Oxford, and graduated ranked second in his year, receiving the Martin Wronker Prize (proxime accessit), Gibbs Book Prize for private law, and the Faculty Prize for Roman Law (Delict). Edward then completed the BPTC as a Lord Justice Holker Scholar of Gray’s Inn, receiving an ‘Outstanding’ grade.

Subsequently, Edward was a Lecturer in Law at Balliol College, Oxford, teaching Trusts Law at both Balliol College and Oriel College.

Edward also holds a Bachelor of Arts (English, German) with first class honours from the University of Sydney, and speaks German.

Edward’s clerks are happy to discuss the basis on which he will act in any given matter. In the absence of express written agreement to the contrary, the terms on which Edward accepts instructions are the 'Standard Contractual Terms for the Supply of Legal Services By Barristers to Authorised Persons 2012’ (as updated from time to time) referred to in the BSB Handbook.
