Private Client Disputes
Private client disputes take different forms but tend to involve joint ownership, trusts (including estate and inheritance) and individual insolvency.
Many are family related, some with many parties and/or substantial international aspects, but generally the costs of litigation will eat into the assets available to settle the dispute. Technical questions of chancery law may need to be isolated and complex histories may need to be unravelled in order to clarify and isolate relevant issues.
The breadth of our expertise, including both traditional and modern chancery as well as personal insolvency, enables our mediators to fully engage with the factual history and legal technicalities and where appropriate to reality test the parties’ contentions, and to go on to facilitate consensual resolutions of the dispute.
Our Expertise pages demonstrate the very wide range of these disputes in which we specialise.
