Profile
Jonathan read Modern Languages at Trinity College, Oxford, where he was a scholar and achieved a first in both his preliminary and final examinations. He subsequently completed the Diploma in Law (CPE) at City University, gaining a distinction and winning the Maitland Advocacy Prize, and was classed as Outstanding at Bar School. He is also a Harmsworth Scholar and Queen Mother Scholar of the Middle Temple.
He joined Maitland Chambers in October 2008 on completion of his pupillage, during which he gained experience across the full spectrum of commercial chancery work under the supervision of Timothy Dutton, Andrew Westwood, Christopher Parker QC, Carolyn Walton, Thomas Grant, Michael Pryor and Amanda Tipples.
Jonathan is developing a broad practice in line with the full profile of Chambers’ work, including corporate and personal insolvency, company and partnership disputes, property and land law, general contractual disputes, professional negligence, trusts and probate.
